Cisco UCS – C-Series Server

Maximum Performance Minimum Cost!

Cisco C-Series servers – higher-performance yet more economical than ever!

Cisco C-Series servers are high-performing, industry standard Intel X86 servers that are extremely robust and highly dependable.  C-Series servers have been created by Cisco to overcome a wide range of workload problems that previous servers struggled to overcome.  Cisco’s approach to improving things has been through improvements to their servers in a few targeted areas. Cisco C-Series servers offer improvements in the areas of processing, internal storage resources and I/O.

Each C-series server is designed to address varying workload challenges through a balance of processing, memory, I/O, and internal storage resources. The series includes the following models:

  • The Cisco UCS C460 M1 is a 4-socket, 4 rack unit (RU) rack-mount server for compute-intensive, enterprise-critical stand-alone applications and virtualized workloads.
  • The Cisco UCS C250 M1 and Cisco UCS C250 M2 are 2-socket, 2 rack unit (RU) servers with Cisco Extended Memory Technology that increase performance and capacity for demanding virtualization and large dataset workloads.
  • The Cisco UCS C210 M1 and Cisco UCS C210 M2 are general purpose, 2-socket, 2 RU servers. With up to 16 internal disk drives for up to 8 terabytes (TB) of storage, they balance performance, density, and efficiency for workloads requiring economical, high-capacity, reliable, internal storage.
  • The Cisco UCS C200 M1 and Cisco UCS C200 M2 are 2-socket, 1 RU servers that balance simplicity, performance, and density for production-level virtualization, web infrastructure, and other mainstream data center workloads.

The Cisco Unified Computing architecture is based on two basic types of industry standard X86 servers. The big difference between Cisco Unified Computing (UCS) lies in the management of the individual servers, which can all be done from a central console. The UCS architecture encompasses both blade server and blade server chasses (Cisco B-Series Servers) as well as rack-optimized or rackmount servers (Cisco C-Series Servers).

Adcap sells and offers consultation on every server in the Cisco C series, as well as the Cisco B series blade server and chassis Unified Computing System.
