Non-Profit Organization

Problem

A Georgia non profit agency that assists Georgians affected by bleeding disorders was using what they described as “an antiquated phone system.” The outdated technology was absorbing more than its share of the operating budget due to the large expense of replacing outdated parts. Additionally, the existing system wasn’t meeting the burgeoning demands of the organization or allowing them to perform in real time like they needed. The non profit turned to Adcap Network Systems for a solution.

Solution

Adcap developed a network solution tailored to the organization’s specific needs. A full Cisco LAN upgrade was implemented including the installation of 3560 switches and 40 voiceIP phones. The organization began running Call Manager to distribute calls, and remote users were accommodated by an 871 router.

Results

The new Cisco LAN has created an extremely user friendly environment. Staff members now have the capability of accessing emails via phone or computer, and alternatively accessing voicemails via computer as well as phone. “Before we had to call in to retrieve voice messages,” said the non profit’s IT representative. “The new system provides flexible, unified access that allows us to provide clients with more responsive service.”
